Hi Guys, it’s me, Cheeky Monkey HD.com, here, and I’m welcoming you to the very first chapter of my very first light novel! Woohoo!

Some of you less cool, non-millennial readers might be asking: “Cheeky Monkey HD.com, what exactly is a light novel?”  Well, you *squares*, don’t panic because this is one and it’s about to start and then you’ll find out what one is.

“Who are you talking to?” asked Daft Dog 4K UHD.

“The readers of this light novel,” I, Cheeky Monkey HD.com, replied.  DD4KUHD rolled his eyes dismissively, which I thought was a bit rude, to be honest.

“Mow,” said Cheeky Cat 1080p.  I don’t speak cat, so I had to get DD4KUHD to translate.

“She said that there’s no point in discussing with the readers of a light novel as to what a light novel is, as they’ll already know.  Instead you should probably tell everyone who we are and what we’re about, etc.”

I, Cheeky Monkey HD.com, desperately fought the urge to have a rant about how it’s obvious that everyone knows who we are and that it would be a waste of typed-letters to go into any depth of description vis-a-vis the three of us.  It’s simply not acceptable to rant at a cat.

“OK,” I reluctantly conceded.  “I’ll do some of that stuff in the next chapter.”
