“Why,” I hear you say, directly into your computer screen, tablet device or smart telephone. “Are you talking so very *ruddy* formally? Pardon my French.”

Well, French forgiven, I will tell you anyway.  I am speaking so terribly formally because one has an apology to make, and it is thus:

Yes, I, Cheeky Monkey HD.Com, am truly sorry for my blogging absence or blogabsence, if you will.  My last update, laughably entitled “The Thaw” appeared way back on January 10th of this very year (2017).  Indeed, that post was in itself a semi-apology or semology, if you will, for my previous absence (prevabsence), since December 5th of the year before (2016).

There are reasons for my lack of bloggery, sure. I would like, no love, to explain those very reasons, sure.  But not here, not now.  For today, I just wish to say “sorry”.  The reasons will come later, possibly in a future blog post that may or may not happen.
