Hi Guys, it’s me, Cheeky Monkey HD.com, here to say that this won’t be a comic look at my comic book¹. It will simply be a look at my comic book. However, other than the photo above, the looking that we’re going to be doing is more of the thinking variety, in which I type some words which will convey some meaning about what the comic book is.

The comic book in question is “All-New Cheeky Monkey HD.com Family #1” and it is a comic book in the process of being created by me, Cheeky Monkey HD.com. I’ll be honest and fully admit that it’s not yet complete, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to have a printed copy. So I printed some up – just with fewer and less complete pages than the eventual real-life version will presumably contain.

Guys, let’s get real: this wasn’t just about my impatience. It was nominally also about seeing what this thing might look like in printed form, to investigate what tweaks might be necessary before the real thing is published. Mostly, I’m happy to report, I can avoid severe tweakage. There’s an obvious lack of oomph in my 90’s style gradient on the cover of the book, but other than that it’s more about ‘zoom and enhance’ like in one of those sci-fi thrillers that’s heavily dependent on CCTV. I hope to provide some examples of changes I’ve made post-publication, but at this point the thought of releasing spoilers into the wild is a terrifying prospect. Spoilers are the king of the metaphorical jungle and should be treated accordingly. Just throw them a steak over the fence, or something like that.

Anyway, this post really is just a “hey guys, I’m doing a thing” kind of post and since I’ve conveyed the “hey guys, I’m doing a thing” aspect then I’ll bid you a fond farewell.
