Hi Guys, it’s me, Cheeky Monkey HD.Com, here, back once again with, what I can only describe as, a modern morality tale.

On Saturday I made a super-special extra-length “working at the weekend” SimCity BuildIt live stream.  You can watch it here:

Being a mayor of a SimCity BuildIt city is a 24x7x52/year job, so I was *so* pleased that my Saturday work produced so much progress in the city.  The population is literally booming and I love it.  It’s moments like these that make all the hard work so worth it.  

And this brought me directly to this morning aka Monday morning aka the traditional beginning of the working week.  I thought it would be a fun feature to jump briefly into the city and see how things had panned out following the exciting expansion of the weekend.  Then this happened:

Yes, I had actual technical difficulties and the stream crashed after just a couple of minutes.

This really made me think.

Although it was so, so, so disappointing to not achieve with this morning’s video what I had hoped to achieve with it, in a way, that very lack of achievement was in it’s own way, very much its own achievement.  It can be ever so easy for an experience SCBI mayor, such as myself, to make city administration the proverbial doddle.  And yet, in this instance, the Saturday overtime was mega-success and the standard Monday morning core hours proved to be a extinction level event-sized disaster.  And in many ways, doesn’t that sum up the life of a mayor, and the concept of life in general?  I think it does.

It’s just really incredible what kind of revelations can hit you when you’re ‘tubing.
