Cheeky Monkey HD.Com, the expert Pokemon hunter, sat in the driver’s seat of his bright yellow jeep. The engine was turned off as he didn’t like to waste fuel. His foot (right) pumped the accelerator pedal, even though it wasn’t making the revving noise (the engine was off, remember). He did it as like a nervous tick, or something. He was waiting. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Waiting for news of a Pokemon.
He looked again at his phone, which was in his hand (left). Still nothing. When was he going to get an alert telling him about the location of a Pokemon?
“BEEEP,” said the phone. It looks as though his prayers were being answered/he’d just received a text message. He flipped open the phone and looked at the high-resolution LED screen. In big bold (12 point Arial font) lettering, it said:
“THE POKEMON “ITCHIBUM” HAS BEEN SPOTTED AT BIG BEN.”
“Ha ha ha,” laughed Cheeky Monkey HD.Com. “Don’t they know that Big Ben is the name of the bell, NOT the clock tower?” And with that, he turned the key in the jeep’s ignition, depressed the clutch pedal, put the jeep into first gear, slowly depressed the accelerator pedal, whilst simultaneously releasing the pressure on the clutch pedal until he found the “biting point”, checked his mirror, then his blind spot and then slowly, carefully pulled away from the curb in the direction of the Palace of Westminster, which contained the clock tower which is colloquially known as “Big Ben”. The game was most certainly afoot.
“I got me a Pokemon to catch,” he said, using the accent of an old-timey Western prospector. “Yeeeee haaaaaaa!”
The game was most certainly afoot.
To be continued.
