Hi, Guys, it’s me, Cheeky Monkey HD.Com, and I’m just chillaxing on a beautiful Monday summer evening.
Or, I was chillaxing, until this: #showmeyournotes
It’s what I’m calling a “Twitter Hashtag”, which is a thing on Twitter. The idea was that you look in your notes app (application) on your mobile device and share what you’ve been writing in there. This is what I shared:
I’m somewhat preoccupied… #PokemonGO #showmeyournotes pic.twitter.com/re3NlRSCHU

Regular readers will know that I’ve been troubled by the “Pokemonundrum” for quite a few days now, and, as the note shows, I’m no closer to a resolution. But joining in with this “fun” hashtag really brought home a few home truths for me.
As a millennial, I’ve never played Pokemon before, and, as such, I shouldn’t really miss what I’ve never had. That said, I LOVE mobile gaming and the thought of Joseph(ine) Public jumping on board a bandwagon without me is literally tearing me asunder.
Something has to be done.
I’ve decided that, for now, I’m not going to play Pokemon Go. Instead, I’m going to write a series of stories about what it would be like if I were playing Pokemon Go, only having never played Pokemon, let alone Pokemon Go, I’m going to have to make up some aspects based on tidbits I’ve gleaned from everyday life. I can assure you that this isn’t going to be easy, but I ask for your help and guidance at this difficult time.
You can read the first chapter, here.
